Therefore, in this course, you will know how to estimate the time you should spend in front of a display screen equipment, know the abilities of it apart from causing radiation and backpain, and of course, not only the quality of display screen equipments but to know what kind of display screen equipment is good and what is not.
Be aware, however, that the rules apply to any form of DSE, not just desktop computers, including laptops, tablets, televisions, smartphones, CNC control pads, portable diagnostic screens or, more rarely found these days, equipment containing cathode ray tubes, or CRTs.
The responsibilities, for both employer and employee, are spelled out in the Health and Safety (Display Screen Equipment) Regulations, and taking action to comply can increase the work efficiency of the employees and reduce their absences.
